The Guadalupe enamel pendant is inspired by the robes worn by of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the miraculous image of Our Lady imprinted on St. Juan Diego's tilma. Our Lady's cloak is teal, decorated with eight-pointed gold stars, like the stars in this pendant. The tilma is located in a famous shrine in Mexico City and is the site of many miraculous healings.

Dimensions: 20mm

Our Lady of Guadalupe is the title of the apparition of Mary, the Blessed Mother, to Saint Juan Diego, in 1531. Juan Diego was an indigenous Mexican Catholic living near Mexico City. On his way to mass, Our Lady appeared to him on a hill in traditional Mexican dress. She told Juan Diego to go to the bishop and ask that a chapel be built on the site, but the bishop did not believe Juan Diego. Our Lady appeared to Juan Diego again, this time giving him roses (out of season) to carry back to the bishop in his tilma as a sign. When Juan Diego let the roses fall in front of the bishop, there was a stunning image of Our Lady of Guadalupe recreated on the tilma. The tilma is considered genuine and is a popular pilgrimage site for healing.
