Inspired by one of Our Lady's most ancient Latin titles, Stella Maris is a pendant with a nautical rope border. Sculptural waves curve around the pendant, leading to a central, guiding lab-created white sapphire star.

One of the oldest titles for Mary, Mother of Jesus, is “Stella Maris.” Latin for “Star of the Sea,” this title was used as far back as the 5th century when St. Jerome wrote of Mary as Stella Maris (perhaps mistranslating her name, Miriam, which means “drop of the sea”). In any case, the title has long been used to describe Mary as a shining example and a guiding light to her Son, especially in times of trouble. Our Lady, Star of the Sea is popularly invoked by seafarers and fishermen, but she is a model for all of us. As St. Bernard of Clairvaux said, "If the winds of temptation arise, if you are driven upon the rocks of tribulation look to the star, call on Mary."
