Patron saint of missions, florists, those who have lost their parents - Feast Day October 1
This dainty and intricate pendant features a delicate floral motif and eight amethysts surrounding a central pearl. This piece was inspired by a 19th century French pendant which we chose to imitate for its timely and thematic connections to St. Therese, a beloved 19th century French saint often associated with flowers.
Dimensions: 15mm
Known by many as the “Little Flower,” St. Therese of Lisieux lived in France from 1873-1897. She lost her mother as a young child, suffered illnesses through adolescence and early adulthood, and lost her father only a few years before she succumbed to illness. Despite her suffering, Therese was profoundly prayerful. She entered the Carmelite order as a teenager and is best known for her “Little Way,” her humble commitment to doing the smallest, most ordinary, acts with the utmost love. St. Therese of Lisieux is one of four female saints to be named a Doctor of the Church.
